Call me a mean mom. But, I’m a stickler on sending hand written notes to thank folks for gifts, wishing a happy birthday or sending a little cheer. After all, cards are my business. This year Jackie was selected as the state presiding officer. Though out her year she will be given gifts and meeting new friends.
The theme for Grand Bethel is “explore” – we’ve had some great sets in the past that really live up to Jackie’s explore theme. Although Ken is pretty upset that I am a craft hoarder, the good news it my hoarding came in great use this year.
These two use retired DSP and stamp sets – but layout can always be used with current product. Here the cards she sent to welcome new members, thank Bethels for their gifts or sending notes of encouragement to members and adults who give of their time who need a bit of cheer.
Awe, summer is here! What a better way to celebrate than with a fun summer card. What is fun about Pop of Pink is all the versatile sentiments that can be used to change the meaning of the card. One of the fun things added to this card is the bit of texture from the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder behind the flamingo and the amazing Silver Foil.
I’ve been away – with life. You know, it gets in the way. I don’t know what life was thinking getting into my way. Things are looking up for the better and I am glad to be back.
I’ve got a two cards for you today. Exact same design with a subtle change here and there. I used the Eastern Palace Suite. It’s such a great versatile set that can be used with a variety of Stampin’ Up! products.

I just realized with all the craziness going on the last few weeks, I hadn’t shared with you the make n’ take from our Occasion and Sale-A-Bration open house. It was a super simple card that could be easily mass produced in a variety of colors. I know this post is short, I promise to fill you in on all the happenings. I just have to say, I love, love, love Daper Denim and Peakaboo Peach together!
Well, I thought I would work on some birthday cards – we all need them right? Something, I don’t often do but should really do more of is using stamps to create the background images. So, I really should start doing this since I am a Designer Series Paper (DSP) hoarder. Yep, that’s me, I admit it. I’m a craft supply hoarder.
I was just stamping away – die cutting away, using the Balloon Adventure set. I got carried away and even made a few blunders. Which actually they turned out pretty good too. So just because they didn’t turn out they way you planed – don’t throw them away. You would have never guessed these two cards were blunders would you?
Dragonfly Dreams sure has been the go to set for me to use over the last few weeks. I love the Clear Wink of Stella it’s such a fun accent to use. I also used it on the Oval Stitched Framelit by “flicking” it on the Natural Ivory cardstock along with the Garden Green ink. I also used the Petal Burst Embossing Folder on a piece of Pool Party cardstock.
I created this card for my friend and fellow Fun n’ Crafty team member Susan for our January card swap. It’s such a fun swap. At the beginning of the month anyone who wants to participate sends a quick note to our coordinator letting her know. A few days later we get a private message with who we will be sending our card to. We send them out by the 20th of each month. As we each receive our card we post the card and who we got it from to our team Facebook page.
If you would like to join the Inky Fingers Stamping and the Fun n’ Crafty Stampers, I’d love to share more information with you. Now is the perfect time to join with the added Sale-A-Bration benefits – and there is absolutely NO COMMITMENT!
I worked on several projects on Sunday to share with you over the next week. Actually, I was hiding upstairs in the studio while the Cowboys game was on. My team the Seahawks had already lost the playoff game – there was no way I could stomach the Cowboys game.
I played around with two FREE items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. First up was the Hey, Chick stamp set and Carried Away Designer Series Paper along with the all new Watercolor Pencils from the 2017 Occasions catalog.
I love the crazy feathers on this chick – it’s really how I feel. It was fun to use the Watercolor Pencils to create even more craziness with this Chicks feathers. As for the card I used Delightful Dijon, Basic Grey and Very Vanilla card stock.
Quick tip- don’t forget to use Archival Ink to stamp the image you are going to watercolor.
